Public Transportation .
There are main bus operators . The Upper Egypt Bus Company operators buses to the Nile Valley el-Faiyum , Western Desert  Oases, and Red Sea coast . The East Delta Bus Company runs buses to the beach resorts in Sinai, St. Catherine, and the canal towns . Alexandria , Mersa Matruh and the Delta are served by the West Delta Company . The Arab Union Transport Company runs more expensive but brand-new Superjet buses with air-conditioning , food, video , toilets, and hostesses on board . They run between Cairo , Alexandria , Luxor , Aswan, and Hurghada. Tickets should be bought in advance at the appropriate.

Domestic Flights
The national airline, Egypt Air , operates frequent daily flights between Cairo, Luxor , Hurghada, and Awan . Less often there are flights to Alexandria and Kharga Oasis . There are several flights a day between Aswan and Abu Simbel.

The ferry between Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh makes for a pleasant alternative to the overland trip via Suez.

There are comfortable trains between the major cities. Abela Egypt runs turbo-trains per day between Cairo and Alexandria (2 hours), and overdnight sleepers to Luor (11 hours) and Aswan (15 hours) . Tickets should be booked in advance at the offices through you Travel Agent .

Car rental
International car rental companies like Hertz, Budget and Avis are represented in the airport and in major hotels
